SAILS, Port Douglas

Saturday the 13th of July 2024, was my first workshop of the year! In stunning Far North Queensland, Port Douglas

A beautiful setting overlooking the marina & the entire SAILS space to ourselves, creating an intimate collaborative session painting while the sun was setting. Blissful! Starting our session with a yarn about our connections to people, places & things. When you think of the connection what colour does that connection feel like to them, is it warm and welcome with reds, oranges & yellows or are they calming and grounding possible colours of blues, browns or green! It is a personal and present experience you will reflect on during the workshops.

I met beautiful souls from the Port Douglas, Mossman & Cairns regions as well as a lovely soul who was on her holiday from Melbourne! It is a wonderful thing to come together, paint, yarn, laugh & make new connections with people from different walks of life.

There were many paintings reflecting the rainforests stunning shades of greens, colourful reefs, deep blues representing the ocean, pinks and oranges representing the community that has welcomed them in so wholeheartedly.

Come have a cultural experience & connect to yourself & otherwise in the most beautiful space overlooking the marina at sunset! 24th August 2024!
